In the Odyssey journey, there are three values that are important and they are listen to your leader, courage and trust. Today we face similar situations with listento your leader and trust. This story is very exciting but might have some parts that could make you cry. The worst part is when Odysseus the king of Ithaca goes to fight Troy because the king, his mom and Athena told him to go. He left his new born son with his mother.
The first value that we see in The Odyssey is listen to your leader. When Odysseus went to the god of winds and the god of winds gave Odysseus a bag of winds. When Odysseus got back to the boat he told his men not to touch it or see it but they didn't care of what he said. When they got to Helios cows Odysseus told them not to touch them, but his men touched Helios cows. Some of his men died for not listening to what he told them not to do.
The second value that we see in The Odyssey is courage. When Odysseus went to The Land of The Dead to know his destiny,Odysseus had to scarify sheep's, so he could get to The Land of The Dead. He had to go in there by himself. Odysseus found out that he was going to be the only one alive and get back home to Ithaca. When he got back to the boat he didn't told his men that he was going to be the only one alive.
The third value that we see in The Odyssey is hope.Odysseus was trying to get home by thinking that soon he will see his family. Penelope didn't marry another man because she thinks that Odysseus is still alive. Telemachus goes on a boat to find his father and bring him back home to Ithaca. Odysseus was disguised as a bagger so he could get his kingdom back.
Odysseus king of Ithaca got back home because he wanted to be with his son and Penelope. When Odysseus was disguised as a bagger no body recognize him but the dog. When the dog recognized him the dog died because now he knows that Odysseus his owner was alive. Odysseus had an oppurtunity and he took it he fought all the soothers and none of those guys survived. Odysseus got his kingdom back and everyone was happy to have Odysseus back in Ithaca.
