I chose the rabies theory because there was alot of reasearch done to prove this. This shows that the the doctor who did this actually took the time to do reasearch. This also shows that he was scientifically accurate. The other doctor just said he died form alchol because he was in or by the bar when found.
The proof of this theory is shown inboth articles. This shows thatif they see the symptoms in both must be accurate but it is not signs of alchol poisining. This also shows thatif DR. R. Benitez was correct all of his reasearch shows rabies. the only thing his reasearch needed was proof of a scratch or bits.
All of the symptoms match rabies, and poe went through all of them in order. This shows that it could have possibly been rabies. This also shows that if the doctor didn't know all of the symptoms then he just made a educated guess on what he saw. If poe was drunk then he drunk him self into a unconsciouse state of mind.
There are reasons i didn't chose the alchol theory. One of them was because the doctor that was there when Poe died was a temporance advocate. That means he was against alchol so he would have thought it was alchol because he was against it. But in other words this could have been one of the reasons he turned to being a temporance advocate.
